In 2024, the HLA Hospital Group has enhanced its capacity, improving services in both medical centers and hospitals. HLA has increased its range of services and the number of patients treated, introducing new techniques and cutting-edge treatments.
"The strategic plans of the HLA Group aim to continue growing and increasing our activity while improving the quality of service received by our patients," said Valeriano Torres, CEO of the HLA Group.
The executive added, "The pursuit of excellence is a constant in the HLA Group. To achieve this, we are expanding and modernizing our network, strengthening the portfolio of services in our hospitals and medical centers, and incorporating new tools to simplify administrative processes, streamline procedures, and reduce waiting times."
Expansion and Modernization of the Care Network
In line with its objectives, the HLA Universitario Moncloa Hospital (Madrid) has been completely renovated and expanded to significantly increase its care capacity and improve the services it offers.
The Madrid hospital now has 262 individual rooms with companion beds, including seven premium suites and 22 suites with living rooms, as well as 13 ICU beds, 14 operating rooms, and a delivery room, among other state-of-the-art facilities.
In 2024, HLA also opened two new medical centers in Alicante and Cáceres. In Alicante, HLA Vistahermosa 77 became the third medical center of HLA Vistahermosa, joining HLA Vistahermosa 76 and HLA Vistahermosa Elche. Meanwhile, HLA Medical Center Cáceres, the group's first center in Extremadura, features two floors and a total area exceeding 1,000 square meters.
Advanced New Units
In addition to opening new centers, the HLA Group has expanded the care capacity of its hospitals with new units equipped with cutting-edge technology to develop advanced techniques and procedures.
A standout example is the new Sports Medicine Unit at HLA Universitario Moncloa, which takes a multidisciplinary approach. With specialists in cardiology, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and nutrition, supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment technology, the unit provides comprehensive care for athletes, helping them achieve their maximum potential and performance.
Other notable projects include initiatives at HLA San Carlos Hospital in Dénia (Alicante); HLA Universitario Inmaculada in Granada; and HLA Jerez Puerta del Sur Hospital in Jerez de la Frontera.
“These projects will enable us to take a significant step forward in the development of the HLA Group and consolidate our position as a reference in private healthcare in the regions where we operate,” emphasized Valeriano Torres.
Commitment to Training and Research
In 2024, the hospital group has reaffirmed its commitment to training healthcare professionals. Currently, the HLA Group has three accredited university hospitals: HLA Universitario Moncloa (Madrid), HLA Universitario Inmaculada (Granada), and HLA Universitario El Ángel (Málaga). Additionally, it has strengthened its collaboration with various universities to involve its professionals in training Health Sciences students.
Recognitions for the Quality of HLA Group Hospitals
In 2024, HLA Group hospitals have received several recognitions that certify their commitment to excellence, innovation, and high-quality medical care. For the fourth consecutive year, HLA Universitario Moncloa has been included in the Spanish list of the prestigious ranking of the world's best hospitals, compiled by the U.S. magazine Newsweek.
