ASISA Group recognised for its advances towards carbon neutrality by 2025
ASISA Group has been awarded at the Sustainability Day 2024 for its remarkable commitment to sustainability and its efforts to become a carbon-neutral company by 2025.
The ASISA Group has received a significant recognition at the Sustainability Day 2024 for its progress towards achieving carbon neutrality by 2025, highlighting its efforts in implementing a strong ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) strategy. This accolade acknowledges the company's commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions while continuing to deliver quality services.
Aline Gómez-Acebo, Director of Sustainability at ASISA Group, stated: "This recognition reflects the ongoing effort and commitment of the entire team to reduce our environmental footprint without compromising the quality of our services." ASISA's work focuses on reducing its environmental impact with the goal of becoming a carbon-neutral company by 2025.
The award was presented during the Sustainability Day 2024, a key event organised by communication group Custommedia, along with CompromisoRSE and Equipos&Talento, held at the Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid. The event, dedicated to corporate sustainability, gathered over 35 experts to share experiences and initiatives related to decarbonisation and sustainable development.
ASISA's Commitment to Carbon Neutrality by 2025
During the event, Lorena Tirados, Deputy Director of Sustainability at ASISA Group, participated in the discussion panel titled "Climate Action and Decarbonisation: Challenges and Opportunities for the Environment." In her speech, Tirados explained the measures ASISA is taking to achieve carbon neutrality in scopes 1 and 2 by 2025. "We have designed a transition plan that includes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, promoting self-consumption, and using 100% renewable energy. We are committed to a low-emission energy model, relying on circular economy practices and sustainable partnerships with our suppliers," she emphasised.
