The Espriu Foundation takes part in the Alliance for Health Promotion general assembly
The Espriu Foundation, the world’s second health co-operative network, has taken part in the Alliance for Health Promotion (A4HP) general assembly, held this month in Geneva.

The Director General of the Espriu Foundation and Chairman of the International Health Co-operatives Organisation (IHCO), Carlos Zarco, and José Pérez, Deputy Director of the Espriu Foundation, have shared their knowledge and experiences in co-operative healthcare to contribute to efforts made by the Alliance for Health Promotion to develop public policies and good practices that support public health.
“The organisational model of health co-operatives has many benefits for societies as part of their commitment to improving health protection systems. In this sense, the Espriu Foundation is pleased to contribute to the work of A4HP and be able to contribute solutions to support the health of citizens”, said José Pérez.
This year, the Espriu Foundation has been chosen to take part in the Alliance together with other entities such as the International Health Co-operatives Organisation (IHCO), the World Mental Health Federation and the International Pharmaceutical Federation.
Alliance for Health Promotion is comprised of a network of NGOs and international civil society organisations from different sectors who share a commitment to improving peoples' health. A4HP is officially associated with the WHO (World Health Organisation) and is a consultant for the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC).
