The Espriu Foundation receives the Institutional Award for research and teaching in the field of collaborative organisations from the UCM
The award recognises the work of the foundation in promoting research into and the dissemination of co-operative healthcare management.

The Espriu Foundation, the second-largest healthcare co-operative network in the world, has been awarded the Institutional Award by the School of Co-operative Studies of the Complutense University of Madrid at the "8th Annual Awards for research and teaching in the field of collaborative organisations” for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The accolade, which was presented last Friday to the managing director of the Espriu Foundation, Carlos Zarco, recognises the work of the foundation in promoting research into and the dissemination of co-operative healthcare management. Among other initiatives, the foundation's work has come to fruition through different activities alongside the School of Co-operative Studies and its researchers.
Some of their more noteworthy actions include awarding the 10th José Espriu Castelló Banco de Santander ASISA-Lavinia award, the publication of the book “El cooperativismo sanitario integral en el sector de la salud: análisis de los flujos económico-financieros (Comprehensive Co-operative Healthcare in the Healthcare Sector: an analysis of economic and financial flows”) by Javier Iturrioz del Campo and participation in the publication of the book “40 años de historia de las empresas de participación (40 Years of History in Collaborative Businesses”) edited by the School of Co-operative studies of the Complutense University of Madrid.
The awards ceremony took place on Friday during the annual seminar held jointly by the Association of Co-operative Studies (AECOOP) and the School of Co-operative Studies on Research and Teaching in the field of Collaborative Companies.
