The Espriu Foundation participates in the European co-operative movement
On the 10th March, in Brussels, a delegation of the Espriu Foundation made up of the vice-presidents, Dr. José C. Guisado and Dr. Josep O. Gras and the director general, Estanislau Simón, interviewed Rainer Schlüter, director of Co-operatives Europe, a regional organization of the International Cooperative Alliance ICA) that groups together more than 170 cooperative organizations from 37 European countries and represents more than 160 million cooperative members.
The main aspects covered during the meeting were the future challenges caused by the restructuring process that is taking place in the ICA, in which the sectoral organizations, such as the International Health Co-operatives Organisation (IHCO) and the regional organizations, including Cooperatives Europe, are directly involved.
The representatives of the Espriu Foundation showed Schlüter their support and collaboration with the European organization and confirmed that they would attend the next General Assembly that will take place on the 28th and 29th of April.
